Procedures of Applying for Replacing and Reissuing Permanent Resident Permit for Foreigner

I.  Requirements
    Replacement and reissuance
    The foreigners that have been approved to settle down in China or granted with the permanent residence right in China; the content of the certificate is changed; the certificate is damaged or lost.
    Acceptance time limit: within 3 months since the acceptance date in case of the first application within 15 days since the acceptance date in case of replacement and reissuance application

II. Submittles
    Replacement and reissuance
    1. The photocopy of the foreign passport or the certificate that is allowed to replace the passport of the associated person (the original copy shall be presented);
    2. The photocopy of the Permanent Resident Permit for Foreigner (the original copy shall be presented);
    3. Four 2-in. recent bareheaded half-length light-blue-background photochromes showing the full faces.

Remarks:
    1. The foreigners losing their Permanent Resident Permit for Foreigner shall timely go to the exit-entry administration to report the loss, and announce the cancellation by newspaper, and then apply for replacement.  
    2. All certificates issued by the foreign authorities shall be verified by the Chinese embassy and consulate stationing in the associated country;
    3. All materials in the foreign language shall be translated into Chinese by the nominated translation agency;
    4.  All photocopies shall be of A4 format and in duplicate.

Time limit for check and approval: within 2 months since the check date in case of the first application
Within 5 days since the check date in case of replacement and reissuance
